Alternative Impact 2102505 is a 39" ski-stance chromoly complete front a-arm kit for Polaris RMK and Pro RMK snowmobiles on the AXYS chassis, model years 2016-2018. It replaces the factory forged aluminum arms with tubular chromoly arms. Standard color is stocked by the manufacturer; custom powder-coat colors are available on request (RAL number from Tiger Coatings in the order notes) and can take two to three weeks.
The arms use threaded rod ends at the spindle instead of welded or pressed ball joints. Alternative Impact designed this so that after an impact the rod end can usually be unscrewed, replaced with a spare and the ride continued, rather than replacing a bent arm. The manufacturer states this is not guaranteed but has worked in roughly three out of four cases. The upper arm is built with a wide radius so it clears any stock or aftermarket shock, including shocks with piggyback reservoirs.
Fitment. Polaris AXYS chassis RMK / Pro RMK, model years 2016-2018, 39" ski stance. Stock 39" stance, stock shock length. This is the original straight-tube AXYS kit (not the arched True Clearance design): the heavy-duty lower arm uses one size thicker tube wall (.009" thicker) for a slightly stronger arm without being so stiff that it transfers a hit into the bulkhead. The manufacturer page lists model years 2016-2024 in its year selector; the kit is sold for the 2016-2018 AXYS RMK.
