Alternative Impact 42022106 is a billet 7075 aluminum primary clutch cover for the Polaris P-22 primary clutch, black anodized, supplied with a roller bearing and hardened steel washer. It is a stronger replacement for the stock cast cover, with a tighter-tolerance outer bushing for better shifting and less overall runout.
Alternative Impact designed the cover to address broken primary springs and short spring life: the roller bearing under the spring lets it rotate as it compresses, and the manufacturer states the cover virtually eliminates both issues. It does not increase or decrease the spring rate. Cover bolt torque: 8 ft-lb.
Fitment. Polaris P-22 primary clutch (Matryx Patriot Boost and 9R, 2022-2026). Replacement bearing and washers: Clutch Cover Roller Bearing and Washers ($28.13).
