Alternative Impact 221985-P22 is the complete lightweight clutch fastener and spider package for the Polaris P-22 clutch. It removes 382 g of rotating mass by replacing the stock secondary spider, clutch bolts, clutch cover bolts and weight pins with billet and titanium parts. The primary bolt head is a T60 Torx. Bolts are grade 5 titanium with an ultimate minimum yield strength the manufacturer states is 10,000 psi more than the stock bolt.
Choose the 7075 billet aluminum secondary spider (two-year warranty) or upgrade to the grade 5 titanium billet spider (lifetime warranty). Recommended torque: 80 ft-lb on the primary bolt, 25 ft-lb on the secondary bolt, 8 ft-lb on the cover bolts. The bolts will handle factory torque specs; these are the values Alternative Impact has used since 2005. If the clutch is already torqued to factory settings, install the titanium bolts at the recommended torque. If the clutch has been removed, reinstall it with the factory bolt to factory spec first, then swap in the titanium bolt and torque to 80 ft-lb.
Fitment. Polaris P-22 primary and matching secondary clutch: Matryx Patriot Boost and 9R, 2022-2026. Secondary spider fits 2019-2024 RMK 850, 2019-2024 Boost and 9R, 2013-2024 RMK 800 and 600.

Options. Secondary Spider: 7075 billet aluminum (standard) or grade 5 titanium (+$90.00). Add-on sold separately: titanium secondary thrust washer for the Team secondary ($25.88).
Installation notes (from Alternative Impact). All titanium fasteners require Loctite: a small drop on the primary bolt, and it is a must on the secondary bolt; blue is sufficient. Do not use pneumatic tools and do not apply heat. Never use the clutch bolt as a puller (the "water trick").
