Alternative Impact 60985767 is a 32" ski-stance True Clearance chromoly complete front a-arm kit with Alternative Impact spindles for Ski-Doo Summit and Freeride snowmobiles on the Gen4 and Gen5 REV platform, model years 2017-2027. It replaces the factory aluminum arms with tubular chromoly arms and the factory spindles with Alternative Impact 6061-T6 aluminum inline spindles.
The arms use threaded rod ends at the spindle instead of welded or pressed ball joints. Alternative Impact designed this so that after an impact the rod end can usually be unscrewed, replaced with a spare and the ride continued, rather than replacing a bent arm. The manufacturer states this is not guaranteed but has worked in roughly three out of four cases. Both tubes of each arm are arched, which is what Alternative Impact calls a "true" ground clearance arm: other designs arch only the front tube and leave the rear tube straight. The upper arm is built with a wide radius so it clears any stock or aftermarket shock, including shocks with piggyback reservoirs.
Fitment. Ski-Doo Gen4 / Gen5 Summit and Freeride, model years 2017-2027, 32" ski stance. Requires the stock shock length of the 2026 32" stance: 17-3/8" to 17-1/2" eye-to-eye extended. Fox air shocks work with this kit. It fits any Gen4 with the correct shock length. Compatible with Raptor piggyback shocks and Fox piggyback shocks for the 32" stance. It will not work with the KYB piggyback shocks from the 36" ski stance. Alternative Impact Ski-Doo spindles are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with Nylatron bushings, use inline mounting geometry and are available in black anodized only.
